Legal Support
This is to carry out legal support to secure implementation of payment of rearing expenses, which is to protect the rights to be reared in single-parent families and to ensure that a custodial parent receive child rearing expenses from a non-custodial parent.
Details of support
Custodial parents may benefit from legal support to secure execution of child support from non-custodial parents. The Child Support Agency supports representation of litigation for filing a claim for parental recognition of a child, requests for change of parental rights executors and rearers and visitation rights.
Unmarried Custodial Parents
- Litigation for filing a claim for parental recognition of a child
- Litigation to secure rearing cost
- Request for change of parental rights holders and designation (change) of rearers
- Request for visitation rights, etc.
Divorced Custodial Parents
- Litigation to secure rearing cost
- Request for designation (change) of parental rights holders and rearers
- Request for visitation rights, etc.
- Request for rearing cost
- This is to secure payment of rearing cost when there is no agreement on rearing cost of a child under joint guardianship of parents (Request for change is included when necessary to change even if there is an agreement on rearing cost.)
- Request for parental recognition of a child
- Request for rearing cost is premised upon the fact that non-custodial parents and their children are real parent-child relationships. If non-custodial parents do not recognize (tentative recognition) the legal standing of parents and children on their own, it is to force recognition based on a lawsuit.
