Guidance to Consultation on Child Support

The Child Support Agency provides consultations through various means including telephone calls, visits and online outreach for overall rearing cost issues. Those who benefit from consultations include custodial parents who face problems coming from rearing cost, obligees, non-custodial parents, obligors and other citizens. Support to implement rearing cost will be limited to obligees as well as custodial parents.

Guidance to Consultation

Telephone

  • Call 1644-6621 (If you are connected to Call Center, there will be guiding messages for you to reach a counselor.)
  • Time: 09:00~18:00, Monday to Friday

Visit

  • Address: #508, Fifth Fl., Banpodae-ro 217(Seoul Public Procurement Service), Seocho-gu, Seoul, Korea
  • Time: 09:00~12:00/13:00~18:00
    • ※ Visit-based consultation is available after reservation. (Call to reserve: Call 1644-6621 and press 1, Online reservation available)
    • ※ The longest time for a day over a visit for counseling is 30 minutes.

Online counseling

  • Means of application: Click on ‘Application for Consultation on Child Support’ on the main screen. Otherwise, access to [Communication and Participation – Online Request Menu]. Non-members are allowed to apply for and view consultations. However, certification of a person will be required.
  • Guidance to procedure: Agree to the stipulations and certify yourself > Enter a detail to be subjected to counseling > Completed
    • ※ Personal certification can take place via cell phone (mobile phone) or i-Pin. View the status: In the [Participation – View Your Consultation] menu, certify yourself and check the status of your consultation.
  • Matters that Require Attention: Please describe the facts and questions within 2,000 letters.
    • ※ Online consultation will take place based on a questioner’s consultation details. Therefore, accurate consultation will not be available if omission or description of facts is extensive.
    • ※ When applying for a consultation, you cannot attach a file. If you link other sites in the question area, there will be no responses.
    • ※ The answer to your question will be registered within seven days from the date following the date of receipt (weekends and holidays excluded).

※ During any procedure taken by the Child Support Agency, if wanted by a party, agreement, arbitration and/or notarization will be supported.
